My brother is homeless and believed to have left town with a carnival - how can I reach him?
Q. My brother was living in a local homeless ishelter n Kansas City, Missouri and left without word. People at the shelter believe that he left town with the Pride of Texas Show '06. Can I reach him through the carnival?

A. What you need to do is to look up the carnival and get the address and/or phone number and call to see what the traveling schedule is and go to the next place and talk to him. They should have the whole years schedule at the main office... Good Luck!

I am curently living in a homeless shelter, called the Salvation Army, it is $10.00 a day or $300.00 a month I am not in the best neighborhoods will one of the worst, I live in a town called Knoxville, Tn a very diverse community, full of crime and homelessness in the area I am currently residening. A. My heart goes out to you. Do you wish to return home because of a sibling or a grandmother or a sweetheart? If that is not the case why go back? I'm not in your shoes,,, but from here I would think there is no reason to go back except for a "visit" with your mother. I think your head is on right, just be patient,, take SA up on any job training they offer. Perhaps through work or church you can meet someone to be roommates with once your finances are in a better position. I understand the lonely part,, but things will be the same in your old hometown,, be strong ,,,prepare your self with job training and stay the course. 5 years form now when you have your own home and the lady of your dreams you will be glad you did what you… [cont.]

Where is a good place to buy children's shoes?
Q. My son currently wears a size (infant) 7, and is 13 months old. He is currently wearing skechers (that cost about$25), but i am concerned that they are not the best for him right now/ He is just learning to stand on his own and taking first steps and i want something that will be good for his feet and help him. All the shoe stores around here (small town with shoe show and shoe dept) have only a few brands (skechers, nike, new balance, timberland) and only a few styles of each (if that many). I have read that you should go to a store that specializes in kids shoes, but what are they? I live about 15 minutes from a large city (Winston-Salem, NC) with plenty of stores, but don't know what to look for. Also, are places like shoe carnival good? [cont.]

A. I would have to second the Stride-Rite reccomendation, but for outdoors and after they are independently walking only. My kiddos wear soft-soled shoes for the first year and a half at least. Soft soles allow them to get a feel for the ground and let their feet move better. You can go with Robeez or Bobux, but they also sell an off brand at Target that is just as good. Stride Rite shoes are well made, and will offer custom support for your little one's feet. They sell wide shoes for fat feet, and narrow shoes for thin ones, and it goes much further than just the wide shoes at say Payless. Most stride rite's carry Robeez, and also some other shoes that have more bendable soles for after they are walking but still little. I think… [cont.]
