catholics have nice cathedral churches?
Q. do christian churches have nice cathedrals... is there even such a thing as a christian cathedral? well as far as some that said some christian churches have nice interior but wasn't reall sure if they were considered cathedrals... did they look like these and i'm not really talking about protestant b/c im pentecostal but i do wonder if they have pentecostal cathedrals

Would it be odd to have Cathedral ceilings in just the master bedroom and not rest of house?

A. Yes, it's ok to wear shorts. But I'd recommend a more distinguished look of slacks and shirt. When in Rome . . . dress as they do. In a resort area, sure, shorts are very appropriate. And then there's tons of leisure time to head back to your room to change for dinner. However, in an urban area, especially in Venice, you'll rather continue exploring all day instead of heading back to your room (possibly on the other side of town - almost an hour's walk) to change for dinner. What do we need to plan well for our son's trip to Italy?
Q. My mom is taking our 14 year old son and his two cousins to Italy for a two week trip. They will travel from Rome to Capri and FLorence, Pisa, Milan, and Venice, and Sorrento (for Pompeii.) The schedule, including sights, hotels and restaurants are set, so I can't pass on any "must see" tips. A. rubber shoes (flip flops) for the showers, even in nice hotels small compact umbrella - easier to use and get dry than a rain coat. small day-pack - for hat, sunscreen, water bottle camera and cards etc. When I was there last I was approached by many folk (mainly American) to ask if they sold batteries/film/etc in Italy! Yes they do. It is mainly a cash economy so you should make inquiries at your bank about accessing cash in the places they are going. i.e. very few places accept credit cards and the ones that do charge at least a 1% fee to do so. Tell him to listen and look, take heaps of photos and read up about the places he'll be going before he goes. I don't like big diamonds so he got me a .45 ct round diamond but what prong setting should i choose among the xprong, cathedral or tiffany style setting? 4 or 6 prongs? Q. can anyone help me decide... im planning to have a church wedding but im confused if i'll go for a cathedral or a small church... the cathedral got a long aisle and very nice interior with high ceiling. the small church obviously the aisle is not that long compared to cathedral. And to think i only have 150guests so ifeel the cathedral is too big for my wedding affair. which one is better??? both got a nice ambiance. both are nice on pictures... does the size of the church matters if you want to have an intimate wedding??? honestly i want to walk down the aisle that is long like in the cathedral but if i only have 150 guests i feel the cathedral would be empty.

Q. Like it's for a 9th grade world history project. i have a pretty good idea but if you have better and cheap ways of making a good dome/cathedral would be nice. I need to make a model of the Florence Cathedral built by Filippo Brunelleschi. (a Florentine artist during the Renaissance) i wish to make a good model of the cathedral. the thing about that foam idea is that. it is supposed to be an art project thingy, and more realistic than foam you know. this is for a 9th grade project so i'm not sure if that would be too good. xD thanks for the suggestion though.

I need to add a nice reverberation effect to it, but every time I use the "Gverb" effect, the vocals sound like they're being sung in a bathroom. What do you suggest as a backpacking trip for one person starting at Syracuse, NY?
Q. Money isn't too much of an issue, maybe around 600 bucks or more... Here is some random information to help... Live in Syracuse. Like trains. Not too big about partying. Like historical places. Good architecture (especially Churches and Cathedrals) Beautiful cities. Good food. Museums. Beautiful scenery. What nice places do you recommend? Maybe an route you can suggest?

Catholics; Isit right that hundreds of thousands of pounds was spent on mosaics in westminster cathedral?
Q. Is it right, that there are people starving and diying and catholics are worried about making their churches look nice and presentable, would God not prefer that money to have gone to the sick/poor. Jesus said that we must help those in need. polly... i don't preach to people about feeding the poor, catholics are the ones who go around quoting jesus sayying how we all need to give money to charity, i have never said that as i am NOT a hypocryte. You must feel silly now.

A. Well, John... Hate to break it to you, but Westminister ABBEY isn't Catholic, oops! ...it's Angelican...are you going to 'man up' and re-post this so the Angelicans in YA can answer? It's been around for about 700 years. I think any structure, edifiafe that old require general upkeep and maintenance. Mosiacs very easily dislodged and need to be replaced. Think of it...you have 'mosiacs' (tiles) in your bathroom, you think it will sustain repeated abuse by humidity, ground shifts, and usage for a few hundred years and NOT need to be replaced? You sound very similiar to Judas, when he whined about Mary Magdeline pour expensive perfumed oil on Christ's head and feet...Christ then said 'the poor will always be with us' And your… [cont.]

Is it possible to have a big and elegant wedding in D.C. for $40,000? If so, where?
Q. I am planning on getting married in Washington D.C./MD/VA area. However, I live 18 hours away, so it is very hard for me to plan everything. My fiance's family is from there, and they are a very large bunch. We are looking at having 300 people come. The reception has to be a plated dinner with an open bar. Does anyone know of any nice places that have reasonable prices. I am looking for plates of food that are less than $110 per person. Also, any BIG church/cathedral that doesn't require membership? Thanks!! I have already started looking for hotels. I was more or less hoping for someone to answer who has personally gotten married in one or has been to a wedding in one and can tell me what it was like, if it's worth it, the good, the bad,… [cont.]

A. I've had a lot of friends get married in that area. Just to let you know the best deals for ceremonies/receptions are the area hotels. Plus if you have lots of out of town guests, the hotel will give you a deal on room rates for them. And often you and your groom will get your room free. Also if you are set on having a ceremony at a church, a good place to have the ceremony would be at a place called Martin's Crosswinds, they have locations all over the place.

What don't the u.k people allow us to turn st.pauls cathedral into a mosque?
Q. hi, im abdul from sudan...in most parts of uk a lot of churches have been converted to mosques,since ST.PAULS is only for show to silly tourists to take pictures off, why won;t u.k public allow us to convert it into a mosque, plus i think st.pauls would look nice with a green dome and 4 minerets around it,plus we muslims would be doing londoners a favour as out priest who will hail the mornnig paryers aloud will scare away the pigeons.what do people think?
